I was reading on some rather expected piece of writing how some people think that Sex Ed should be forced on school kids and I was wondering what y'all thoughts were on the affair.
Quote from secularist’s view:
"...in this case we feel strongly that the right of the child to a good education trumps the right of the parent.”

What happened when old-fashioned ideas about sex were replaced in the 1960s by the bright new ideas of the left that were introduced into the schools as "sex education" that was supposed to reduce teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases?
If I were President, I would abolish the National Education Agency and empower the Local Districts.

I think sex education should be mandatory from 6th - 12th grade. Just like one giant school assembly every year. You know, to really hit it home.
-
No, Sex Ed should be kept in his cage. Forcing him on children is just asking for trouble
-
In that case, they're dead right. Kids need to learn about the world as it is, not as people want it to be. Sex is a thing. It happens. People have sex, and kids will need to know about how to practice safe sex.
-
The reason schools have sex ed is because some shitty parents don't teach it on their own.

Edited by Colt1775: 3/4/2015 2:44:21 AMShould calculus or geometry be forced on people? Not really, because who actually needs that in life other than engineers? Other stuff like that could be used for medical purposes if you're an EMT. Don't ask how because I'm not an EMT lol
-
I don't understand why a class is needed. Maybe like a 20 minute presentation. "Hey don't be stupid, wear a condom" The end
-
It's proven that earlier education leads to less problems with disease and pregnancy. Just gotta wait for the rest of the countries, including my own, to catch up.
-
I think yes. Young adults need to know about it to be told to use a condom and wait to have kids. I know 80% of the girls I graduated with were pregnant before we even graduated. Smh.

-
Well the kiddos need to know about the zing zang boppers and the birdoes and the bez and the dingle tingle and in-out whimsy shmiggles
-
Yes. A populous uneducated about sex is a very bad thing.
-
-
Yes. It is important for kids to know about sex. There is a lot of misinformation out there, and people are going to have sex regardless of whether they know the consequences and risks, or not.
-
My school cut sex ed because lack of money yet kept the football team that never wins a game so prioites wow such planing
-
I'm going to replace two words in your post: Should Math Classes Be Forced On School Kids?
-
It's souls be a decision, and it is, they get to choose
-
Who the -blam!- is Sex Ed and why is he being forced on children?
-
They teach that now
-
Ofcourse it's right!
-
i wish sex ed atually taught me how to last longer and where the peepee goes
-
Y'know in Britain sex ed is compulsory, from year 6 to year 11
-
It already is. They made us watch the puberty videos since kindergarten. Deal with it.
-
-
Abstinence doesn't work, so yeah. Probably a good idea.
-
Yep yes and ya. So we don't have 13 year old moms around.
-
Well my school has health... And we'll drugs and sex are covered in one MP
