Edited by Prototape: 11/11/2013 7:27:09 AMI took a topographic map within a 10-20 mile radius, modeled it in some software, and created overlays highlighting roads/highways, demographics, geographical facts, etc. I still have it somewhere, but I'm too lazy to dig it up. I just remember it took a day or so to render it on my school's computer. I also remember my despair when I saw that it had crashed at one point. The teacher who pushed me to do it was literally the best mentor ever.

I'm going to graduate college this year, and my freshman year film has been my favorite one that I've done. I'm really excited for my thesis film though; production starts this coming weekend.

Computer Graphics Seriously I'm the only one in their besides the teacher that knows how to do anything with a computer. Its like rocket science to the other students.

We wrote a bunch of Matlab codes relevant to heat transfer and fluid mechanics that modeled a water jet drill moving through a glacier. None of the code worked, but that's because I found out one of my partners stole his code, and we found that out the day before it was due. I'm proud of it because we did the right thing (removed the stolen code, reported the incident, and turned in what we had versus turning in the whole thing and praying they wouldn't notice).
