I mean think about it, the universe suppesedly have no end. How can something with infinity started? Surely the atoms that created the stars and all we know of today have come from something, or the remnants of something? There is the law that says matter cannot be created or destroyed.
Now consider this for a moment, no actually consider this and this will sound very wacky and out of the blue. What if we're actually in a simulation/test/whatever to see how we act in life before being integrated into a society? Think about it, if we could find a way to weed out evildoers by seeing what they would do in life in a made up would. Wouldn't we do that? This is just a theory to consider and may not even be real but then again, how much do we really know about the universe.
And a less radical theory, not really explaining things about why but interesting still. What if we're not the only expanding cluster of galaxies? The universe is vast and there's no reason there can't be another cluster out there. Maybe we're looking at the universe the wrong way. There are elements we have yet to discover, infinite unknown elements. Something in the center of our cluster that might could explain it all.

What if... THE UNIVERSE IS GOD?!

Personally, I feel such a subject is beyond human comprehension. Since, as mortals, we are finite, we can never hope to understand that which is infinite.

Can you start counting and never stop? Yes, just start at 0 and keep on going until you... Now just apply that to the universe.

1. Matter can be created or destroyed, it's energy that is conserved 2. The observable universe is thought not be to infinite, but continually expanding. 3. There are lots of galaxy superstructures outside our local group hat we have observed.

Edited by Y SO REACH BETA: 11/9/2013 3:05:33 AMChances are it has an end. Or a chaotic cycle.

We can't prove if it's infinite or finite. It's too large for us to make such a statement and anybody who says otherwise is trying to shove pseudoscience down your throat.

The Universe will die eventually. Either everything will expand into darkness, contract into singularity, or end up in a black hole.

The universe is not infinite.

I don't believe it has no end. But this is just in layman.
