There's still a ways to go yet. Although we've known about Destiny for ages, it's still very early in its release life cycle. It was only properly announced a few months ago.

Maybe that's to do with the fact that everyone was so intimately familiar with Halo that they could allow themselves to drill down deep with the info they shared. With Destiny it seems they are more guarded. They might not want to over-promise and under-deliver as so often happens. That's how I'm treating it anyway.
