It just annoys me to see the amount of fanboying in this thread, with little to no information to back it up. It makes the whole process a lot more difficult. It's also annoying to see all the people who know nothing about the specs and what little difference they create. Sure, the PS4 is better in that area, but what about the game library? I suppose we'll just have to find out. Battlefield 4 showed almost no difference between the resolution of both consoles (720p vs 900p) so maybe we'll see how they function in other areas of performance. If someone can convince me using straightforward facts and logic instead of biased opinion, I'll make the switch between consoles. Also, what does an unrelated thread have to do with this? I don't know who you are. EDIT: According to that chart, internet connection is not required every 24 hours on the Xbox One. A mandatory update is simply a system update designed to fix issues with the console, so how is that a bad thing?

Edited by Jocephalopod: 10/29/2013 8:44:49 PMFACT ps4 has superior hardware specs when compared to xbox one (they don't make that much of a difference now but could help with faster loading times, ect and in future graphically more advanced games) FACT: it is an opinion to state that a console is because of a certain game library due to the fact you buy a console with the games that in your opinion you like and if a console could not offer them you wouldn't buy it LOGIC: it is a logical decision to to buy a ps4 in a hardware comparison alone. LOGIC: it is a logical decision to buy a console that offers the games you want to play hope this helps you out

well a psn account costs 10 dollars less than an xbox live one, and playstation features free to play games. if your username is unique enough it wont be taken. in game exclusives (as in full games exclusives) there are 24so far announced to date major ones are killzone shadowfall infamous second son drive club ect. includes exclusive indie games xbox one imo has more impressive but a fewer amount of exclusives such as halo 5 and titan fall however i believe that in the long run a ps4 would be worth it. you also have to take into consideration the factor of what your friends or the majority of people you know are buying (in most cases ive seen more people seem to be leaning toward the ps4) as for a game that seems like it could be a replacement for titanfall, destiny is a big one lol both are online only shooters and destiny has extra content on ps4. as for exclusives killzone is a very good series and im sure it will not disappoint its certainty a rival for titan fall however there is another option, assuming you own a xbox360 (which you do) you could buy titan fall for your 360 and still get a ps4 this could make things easier for you and your friends ps thanks for reminding me about the price, also as a xbox 360 and ps3 owner i dont consider myself biased

That's good, I was talking about some of the other users posting in this thread. That was about everyone in general. Thanks for making the suggestions, I also forgot that PS3 games are compatible with the PS4. I'd like to play The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls! As for the username, that'll be tough. Does it cost money to change your username? It's $10 on the Xbox... I just hope I get a good four letter or original username.

i think i found a good example of how ps4's hardware specs could make a difference. it was recently announced that call of duty ghosts (which isn't heavy in the graphics department) will only be able to run at 1080p on the PS4 and will have to settle for 720p on the Xbox one in order to meet 60 frames per second. this is obviously due to the superior hardware in the ps4 but i'm sure Xbox will have games running at 1080p just fine. so if resolution matters for you there's a selling point on the play station.
