So, about that Halo 3

I'n having fun replaying Halo 3 now, but sadly only the Team slayer playlists and Lone wolves are habitable. I saw one of those old message things come up while I was waiting for a game that said something along the lines of "modded content in your file share will get you banned. www.Bungie.net/ban" Well, Bungie doesn't dish out bans for Halo 3 anymore and would 343 even bother? *runs to upload modded things before realizing I didn't have any saved* Anyway, discuss your fun times with Halo 3 lately if you've been playing it.

  • Had a nostalgia night of MM fun. Visited maps that I had not been on in much too long... and I didn't realize how much I missed Halo 3 until all those kick-ass memories started flooding back. I found myself playing Halo 3, and longing for the population to be higher so that it would be like it once was. Sadly, the SWAT population was at zero all night (well, it was at 1, I was there in the lobby lol)... I was really looking forward to that. But just playing it again brought about a sense of longing for times past, and the sorrow that such a game, such a nigh perfect matchmaking experience and sublimely well built maps; will one day have a population so low that they just say "it's done". ... Yes, sometimes I put in the Halo 2 disc and go into matchmaking when I'm feeling very nostalgic and depressed. I remember those days of laughter and great matches with a fondness as fierce as I do with Halo 3. Obviously it never connects with anything, but for thirty seconds as H2 searches for the old version of LIVE, I get the flashback to when it was in it's heyday. All from just the sight of the MM screen for each of these games. --------- But back to Halo 3; it took me a bit to readjust to the controls and the way the game plays, so I didn't do so well last night, but there was much fun had. I had an amazing time, and I know that I'll definitely be increasing Halo 3 and Reach time in my game rotation. I love Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. Easily two of the greatest games I have ever played, and that opinion spans across 30+ years of pretty hardcore Gaming. Well done, Bungie. A job well done indeed.
