Favorite Generation of Starter Pokemon
I could make a separate thread for each Type, so a thread for the best Generation types, but that would spread this out and take longer, figure just defining which Generation of Starter Pokemon would be the easiest way to go about this, the ones in each Gen will be listed though.
Gen 1: Charmander/Charmeleon/Charizard, Squirtle/Wartortle/Blastoise, Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur
Gen 2: Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion, Totodile/Croconaw/Feraligatr, Chikorita/Bayleef/Meganium
Gen 3: Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken, Mudkip/Marshtomp/Swampert, Treecko/Grovyle/Sceptile
Gen 4: Chimchar/Monferno/Infernape, Piplup/Prinlup/Empoleon, Turtwig/Grotle/Torterra
Gen 5: Tepig/Pignite/Emboar, Oshawott/Dewott/Samurott, Snivy/Servine/Serperior
Gen 6: Fennekin/Braixen/Delphox, Froakie/Frogadier/Greninja, Chespin/Quilladin/Chesnaught

It's a very tough choice between Totodile and Mudkip, but I have to go with Mudkip because of my Swampert <3

I don't think I have a favorite gen for starters. Charizard, Blastoise, Feraligator, Blaziken, Torterra, Empoleon, and Serperior were all great. I think gen 6 is the first one where I like all the starters though. I think that has more to do with the move to 3D models than anything else, though. I like pretty much every pokemon (both old and new) that I've seen so far in X.

Gen 3. It's the only gen where i can happily play the game with any of the 3 starters. I have my faves for every other gen, normally the fire or water one coz i tend not to like grass but dam, sceptile is da shizz

3rd Gen is best Gen. Treeko had sick evolutions Torchic was OP Mudkip's evos only had one weakness. My favorite starter is totodile.

Typhlosion might be my favorite, however the poll asks which generation of starters is my favorite... I enjoy Gen 1 starters more than Gen 2, as typhlosion (while my favorite,) is the only one I like over the Gen 1 starters.

Gen 3, since it's the only one where I like all the starters and their evos. Though my favorite starter is Froakie. Greninja, Swampert and Empoleon for final evos. All the Gen 5 starters and evolutions where horrendous.

1 ReplyI can't find a single flaw with any of the Gen 3 starters. Sceptile is a BAMF because it's fast and look like an awesome dinosaur. Blaziken is a BAMF for being the only starter to be banned because it's an uber. Swampert is a BAMF because only one weakness.

I love the gen 1 starters don't get me wrong, but I gotta give my vote to gen 2 =-3 Bulbasaur squirtle and charmander are all great! Even if I like Bulbasaur the most but with gen 2 I really like them all and can't decide which is my favorite! I freakin loved Johto :-)

Typhlosion is my favorite pokemon period. I love him partly because he's awesome and partly because I love his evolution progress. I love how he goes from this shy and timid little cyndaquil, to this rage filled ultimate badass typhlosion.
