I pre~ordered Destiny from my local GameStop which isn't really local since I have to make my way into another state to reach one to access the game and the lovely poster given away on purchase of Destiny order and by the way framed it, it's over my desk in all it's glory right now. Sooo beautiful.
But does that count towards the Destiny Beta? Or do I have to pre ~ order it from the Bungie website instead?
Like everyone else I certainly don't want to miss out on a Beta bug hunt.

Edited by LugDubh: 10/1/2013 3:18:45 PMI'm wondering the same myself. I've preordered from GameStop online and haven't received anything pertaining to beta access from them. Just the usual confirmation correspondence. Edit; Stop not Spot grrrr...

Don't worry about it guy.

well amazon apparently went over bungie's head and jumped the gun revealing beta (probably the updates are tied up with whenever the internaltional dateline hits midnight since Amazon's global now). so no one knows any more than the little preorder blurb on their product page unfortunately. as i understand it pre-order beta codes are usually retailer-agnostic, so i'd guess no you're fine, but wait until the official announcement.
Like everyone else I certainly don't want to miss out on a Beta bug hunt.
all the bugs i noticed in reach were from second-hand sources, by the time they get around to a public beta things are usually pretty solid, but who knows? maybe you'll discover something.
