[i] Another question that keeps popping up, over and over again, is the one about map remakes. All three of the new maps in the first pack are brand new to the Halo universe. They’re already office favorites and the press we’ve exposed to them thus far, seemed to love them. They do address gaps in our matchmaking for sure, but we’re not done yet. It’s safe to say that we have plenty of incredible new maps lined up and [b] maybe one or two revisited classics.[/b] We’re not stupid. We know what you like. But remember, as anyone who’s played Last Resort can attest, we don’t just dump the old map into the new engine. We start from scratch. [b] More on that teaser much later [/b]... What you’ve seen so far, is just the tip of the [b]ice[/b]berg. [/i] Sidewinder remake, anyone? Is Frankie possibly hinting at a Sidewinder remake here? Thoughts? Now I know you can go as far as to say that it could be even a remake of Ice Fields, but seeing how Sidewinder is the more popular of the two and has been mentioned more in the map remake threads, it seems like more of a possibility than the other. I could very well just be overanalyzing what Frankie wrote or completely missing out on the "teaser". Anyways, I just want to know if anyone else caught this. [Edited on 11.30.2007 6:58 PM PST]

1: CoD4 fans.......go play and leave us alone. 2: As I understand it the rank is not really having a problem ,aside from a few isolated incedents, if you are one you have my condolances, but your skill is determined by how much impact you had on the game win or lose so unless you win and have 20 kills and single digit deaths you may just be what ever skill you are untill you improve, im not talking to anyone directly but there have been alot of complaints about it. Remember, your rank (corporal, Sgt, whatever) is determined by exp and skill. Skill is determined by well.... your Skill, but just being on the winning team is not enough. Not saying im great, actually I consider myself average with flashes of brilliance so understand im not trying to flame any one (Exc.Cod4 Fanboys) just trying to help clarify things 3: good update Thanx guys. I own CoD4, and yes, its [u]wildly[/u] fun to play, but don't rub it in Bungie's face, thats just unnecessary. Halo 3 and CoD4 are completely different, and way differently designed. One thing that was wildly dynamic and wholly addicting was [b]Team Snipers[/b]. I don't know how else to intelligently ask for Team Snipers than to do it this way: please add [b]Team Snipers[/b] to your playlists soon? I miss it a LOT.

a few things 1. no, so far you have not proven that new maps are as good as the classics, not even freakign close. 2. team hardcore should just be MLG with a few tweaks, thanks, that'd please a lot a lot of people. 3. i'd love to have a one on one with that map creator guy, god i'd love to talk to him. overall, i'm crossing my fingers that bungie redeems halo 3 from being the worst of the three. ...fine, maybe we can't get Weapon-lowering in online. But can you PLEASE at least make it easier? You know, without having to crouch and jump. maybe LB+RB+Y. That would be nice. ...Plus, if the Weapon lower is abused in online, you could just update the engine, so it wont work on Matchmaking. Or you can take it out, simple.
