Why do people comment on someone they don't like with "muted"? Does that make them feel better? Acting like they won a non-existent argument cause there's no way they can be told off otherwise? Chances are if you comment someone saying you're muting them, they don't give two shits either way so why do this? Have any of you done this? Care to inform me as to why you would?

It's pretty much a shorter, easier (and more effective) way of saying "Hey, I don't like your guff, to the extent of not wanting to see anything you say ever again."
