*gasps and points- Camnator!!!!!
-
No, the idiot is yourself as well as the people that thought this would be a good thing to add in the first place. What if it currently said, "In Satan We Trust." Would you call people that want to remove it "idiots?"
-
Yea I would. Just because I don't agree with it doesn't mean I want it changed. People can believe what they want, just because a thing of money says it, doesn't mean you believe it.
-
Well some people believe in change. It sounds like you're saying we just shouldn't change things cuz it's stupid to care. Awesome
-
Except our supreme laws don't agree with it. It should have never been put there in the first place. They can believe what they want without this being on the money as well.
-
Why don't our supreme laws agree with it?
-
Ever heard of the separation of church and State? The bit in the Constitution about the government not recognizing a religion?
-
To bad the federal reserve is not apart of the government, they are a separate entity. So that argument is invalid
-
It is perfectly valid because it's our recognized form of currency.
-
That doesn't matter. The federal reserve is not a part of the government, so you can't say separation of church and state, because the federal reserve isn't a part of the "state"
-
It absolutely does matter, it's federal currency.
-
But it's not the government, they are a separate entity. It is still separation of church and state. Cam just stop, your wrong here.
-
You just wanna be right really bad. Yes, the federal reserve is separate from our government. That doesn't mean he's wrong
-
Yes it does. It is not a part of the government, that means it is already separate from the state
-
Yea you say it's separate. Doesn't really mean anything when it's the money we all use everyday.
-
What does that matter? "We all use it, so I'm gonna make company that isn't even owned by the government change, because I want a separate state and church" The government doesn't own the federal reserve, therefore you can't say the church and state are connected (in this instance) That's basically what your saying.
-
I admit I don't know everything about the federal reserve, but I feel like our gov has to have something to do with what is printed on our money. I will try to prove this right by reading. Unless you can honestly tell me that the federal reserve designs our currency, I don't wanna hear any more of this. You have one argument and its stale.
-
It's the only argument I need. Because it's true. The government does not own the federal reserve. It is a separate entity. Therefore it is a separate church and state. That is the only argument I need.
-
Yea except that I'm saying that our gov designs what goes on the bills, dude. So unless you know that they don't, you need to prove me wrong now. Like I said, ill probly figure out if I'm right soon. By your logic, if I get a batch of tshirts made for a local softball team, and the screen printing company wants to put "in god we trust" under the team name and I don't want them to, it will happen anyway.
-
The reserve designs it though? What's your point? The new $100 bill that is coming out soon? They control that, they designed it, they say when it is coming out.
-
You're pretending to be confused to make it seem like I'm spouting nonsense. Nice move I guess
-
Not what I'm saying. That's what you are saying I'm saying.
-
It's federal currency. How are you not getting this? They can not recognize a religion. Period. The one wrong, as usual, is you.
-
The government doesn't control it. Just because it has the word federal in front of it, doesn't mean that the government owns it
-
It doesn't matter, they recognize it.
