Yep. This is exactly how we should keep our court system occupied...

Because there's only one court and they can only handle one case at a time, right?
-
Because there isn't a hundred-thousand more pressing issues, right?
-
What's important to you may not be of any importance to someone else.
-
Then why exactly are having this conversation? Remember, you chimed in on my comment, not the other way around. If the basis of your argument is "Well, like, y'know, people.. like..have different opinions, man." then why bother attempting to counter mine?
-
The point to my original response was that the courts are able to handle things that you might see as frivolous lawsuits.
-
And that's a very valid point. I don't personally agree with the premise of it, but valid none the less. And had you opened with your clarified statement instead of snarky remarks, I would have been far more cordial with you. I swear this site ruins people's ability to be even remotely civil.
-
Your understanding of our court system is not very strong, is it?
-
Stronger than you realize, cupcake.
-
Hmm... maybe it's your way of showing it, then.
-
Perhaps. I don't claim to be perfect. But you have to realize that not every post I make is intended to spark, build, or back-up an argument. I wasn't looking for anything more than a moment to air some frustration with my post. But for some reason you jump at every opportunity to spark a "debate" with me even though I thought we've come to the conclusion that you and I will never see eye to eye on any topic. Seems the only thing we've accomplished with this understanding is that now.. we don't even bother to debate. Apparently jumping strait to insults is the new hotness. Let's call it a day while there's some shred of mutual respect between us. It's really damn tiresome at this point.
-
Alright, fair enough. You're right, I am bored and looking for a bit of debate. Maybe I am being overly hostile about it, though. I do agree with a lot of your posts (probably more than you think), though.
-
I understand, I get in those moods too. Look, I don't want you to think that because I want to avoid debating you, it means I don't like you. You're a very good member of this community. I just don't like arguments with people I respect. Civil debates? Sure. Just not arguments. And it seems like most of our conversations devolve into just that. Nothing personal.

This is obviously a top priority issue.
