-Call of Duty is the industry leader
-Call of Duty consistently breaks records every year of release
-Call of Duty is critically liked (no major release under 80% score)
-Call of Duty most likely sells more every year than your most anticipated game of next gen ever will
etc.

-Call of Duty has the most simplistic gameplay therefore appealing to younger kids who have do not have a concept of team work. -Call of Duty has a simplistic gameplay that also appeals 'non gamers' which are defined as casual. -Nothing about Call of Duty is original. (Except for killcam) Now allow me to explain what I posted above. I am not trying to bash Call of Duty. I personally do not like Call of Duty but the game is fun. The reason it breaks and continues to set records is because it is at it's core simple. It requires no tactical skill or thought. Just point and shoot. It accomplishes these features very well.
