A List of Facts About Call of Duty
-Call of Duty is the industry leader
-Call of Duty consistently breaks records every year of release
-Call of Duty is critically liked (no major release under 80% score)
-Call of Duty most likely sells more every year than your most anticipated game of next gen ever will
etc.

1 Reply-Call of Duty has the most simplistic gameplay therefore appealing to younger kids who have do not have a concept of team work. -Call of Duty has a simplistic gameplay that also appeals 'non gamers' which are defined as casual. -Nothing about Call of Duty is original. (Except for killcam) Now allow me to explain what I posted above. I am not trying to bash Call of Duty. I personally do not like Call of Duty but the game is fun. The reason it breaks and continues to set records is because it is at it's core simple. It requires no tactical skill or thought. Just point and shoot. It accomplishes these features very well.

1 ReplySo true Gojira, it just goes to show that the people who hate CoD are but merely a vocal minority. Not saying its bad to hate CoD, I just think some of the haters believe CoD is worse than it actually is and can and sometimes are a little bit irrational about the whole thing. And just iterate some more about my personal view on the CoD franchise, this is how I see it: (as well as any other video game in the world) We play games to have fun. Fun is the entire reason video games exist really, we play them to be entertained. Call of Duty, no matter what you say, CoD [b][i][u]can[/u][/i][/b] (note: can) bring entertainment, whether it be through multiplayer, single player or co-op style gameplay such as Zombies. Whether it does bring entertainment upon someone is dependent on the person... if you go into playing CoD with a closed mind and a bad attitude, of course you are not going to like it, you aren't even giving it a chance. The bottom line is no matter how [i]copy & pasted, same, boring, laggy, etc.[/i] CoD is and can sometimes be, it is still [b][i][u]fun[/u][/i][/b], and at the very least it has the ability to be fun. Many games out there that get created sometimes don't even have the capability to be fun.

9 RepliesI think people play cod excessively simply cause it's there, it's realistic. Halo becomes tiring and people find too many glitches, wall holes, rapid fire, super jumps. I like when a game kills you when you go out of bounds or stationary for 1 minute. I -blam!-ing hated super jumpers.

I have no problem with CoD, however, with that said I will almost certain;y not buy it. I'll be playing BF4 and Killzone.

My problem isn't that call of duty is the same game every year, it's that the game just hands people free kills. I won't hate it, because obviously it's the easiest game to get into.

Our most anticipated game of next gen is Call of Duty Ghosts so... Titanfall's basically Call of Duty Ghosts, in the future with Brink and mechs all on steroids so it's basically going to destroy whatever's coming out next on Call of Duty. Ghosts looks awesome up until that release date though. Ghosts is gonn be [I]fun[/I]... until the tyhards ruin it like every other Call of Duty game.
