Why does it always come down to a square-off between the two cold-war enemies in the background?
US supports the rebels, while Russia supports Assad. Now throw in the surrounding Middle East, and we've got a kid on skittles about to explode.

Like I just said. Just because the cold war is "officially" over, it doesn't mean that America and Russia aren't enemies.

They really should improve relations, they are way more likely to kill each other (and as a result the rest of us dragged in) than Israel and Syria/Iran.

I'm sure they would, but you have to understand why these wars are starting to begin with, its to do with oil and Americas bully boy tactics, to the bankers this is all a game of chess with our lives at stake

This is why I hate politics...you think "oh that makes sense", and then...well it doesn't because of xyz exception. Bah politics!
