We all start straight so the fact that there are gays proves that it is not set in stone.

Except we don't.
-
Except you did.
-
We are not all born straight.
-
I mean we are a little curved, but still looks pretty straight.
-
Nope. Some people start Gay. Some start Bi. Some start A.
-
How the hell do we know? How are we supposed to tell if a newborn has a sexual orientation?
-
Well, technically we could say that newborns start Asexual. But as people grow up, they go one way, the other, or both. For instance, why would all the Gays that claim that they've never been attracted to females lie? Is there some sort of secret club where they agreed not to tell anyone?
-
So it's a development thing, but you are not born gay.
-
But nobody is born straight, either.
-
While that is true, straight is what nature intended. It's society and the unfortunate hormonal and mental development that causes people to become gay. It can more or less be a choice when someone decides to accept the way they feel and live a gay lifestyle.
-
For nature to intend something, it would have to be conscious. But logically thinking though, wouldn't the best option for nature be that everyone be Bi? The species still continues through reproduction, but it doesn't overpopulate because of occasional same-sex sexy times.
-
Why would something have to be conscious to be natural? That doesn't make any sense. And no it wouldn't be better if everyone was bi. You trying to make nature politically correct. If that were the case then why not have a completely different gender in the first place? One that can't have children? They could be the gay ones. That would be a much better solution but the reality is, that's not the way the world works. The planet isn't going to make itself politically correct just because we disagree with it.
-
Seems like you went out of your way to misunderstand me. You said that it's 'nature's intent' that everyone is straight. If nature were to have plans or wishes, it would have to be conscious and sentient. Something that doesn't have a mind of it's own cannot consciously choose things. What? If there was a separate gender that couldn't have children, then what would be the point of it? The 'straight' genders would still reproduce, just there would also be this other gender. I'm not talking about political correctness, I'm talking about logic. If you were to create a species that was far more advanced than others, wouldn't the most logical thing to do be that they have something stopping them from overpopulating (yet still allowing them to reproduce) and using up their resources? Not to 'intend' to make them all want to reproduce.

No one starts gay.
-
Except when they do.
-
Which is never.
-
Refer to my reply to Chakas.
-
Which you would.
-
What?
-
Wish you wood like a kitchen cabinet.
-
I can't furniture.
-
Which you'll learn.
