So, you're saying that you're capable of being attracted to a specific gender just by choosing to do so?
How does this work? Like, let's assume that you're a straight male. You're sitting alone in a room when suddenly a naked weightlifter guy walks in and starts dancing.
You sit there disgusted, but then decide to be attracted to men in this instance so that it's less awkward.
When he stops dancing, you turn back to a straight male and leave the room, no longer being able to get a hard-on from naked men unless you choose to want to.
Is that how your super power works?

Repetition is a powerful thing, you may instinctively not like it at first, but you can choose to get into and later like it through that repeated process. Then if you're done liking men, you could then repeat it the other way and like women again.

I don't understand how that is a choice. That's just like acquiring a taste, some people can hate coffee when they first try it and end up loving it because either they have the capacity to do so, or their taste buds change as they age; others will hate it their entire life.

Exactly, it's a mental choice to begin a regiment of steeling yourself to like something. It may not be as simple as "I want to flick this light switch off and on," but you're making a mental choice to adapt to and like it. And I don't think there's anything stopping someone from pulling it off.

I can sort of agree here, but I still think that people can't really 'change' sexuality unless they were already subconsciously Bi. I won't go into the theory that everyone is actually Bi to some degree, because I'm a bit Bias there.

I'll relate to my last argument on the subject, and all of the neural pathways we have in our brain that allow us to develop new skills and abilities the more we focus on and try something. Those play a heavy part in it. I wouldn't either, we need an expert on the subject, Jay might be or Ginger but I don't know for sure.

Skills and abilities are a bit different to personal preference, though. What needs to be done is studies on large groups of people that identify as strictly Gay or Straight. Each are given opposite stimuli for extended and regular periods of time and report on whether something begins to turn them on. This would only work for the sexual side though, not the romantic.

Yeah, just wanted to simplify it. Might already have happened, I study Psychology books in my free time, but not Sex and Gender and such. There is an HBO show in September called Masters of Sex that is supposed to address a lot of the developments and research into Sex though, maybe that will have some good info.
