Wait a second OP did you seriously suggest talking shit to the other team is a new thing? Dude people trash talked all the time back in Halo 2 and 3. Hell you can even find clips of MLG pros back from Halo 2 and 3 talking shit. It is fairly common because guess what? To a lesser extent it works. A lot of people when they get annoyed either do one of two things. They either get mad and as a result start playing like shit or they step up their game and wreck the person talking shit. A lot of people start doing the first one and as a result it is a good thing to start to talk shit to the other team especially if thousands of dollars are on the line. However most of the time it is not meant to hurt the person most likely the person doing the trash talking is doing it for the fun of it when really there isn't a chance of losing. Since talking to your team is more useful than insulting the other team.

This team was not talking just shit to the other team they got up and started talking to the crowd. The members also made it personal, no pro team should ever go to a personal place with trash talking.

  • Honestly I don't see the issue here. Trash talking is far from a new thing and has been around for years. Personally the trash talking they were doing was low level at best. If anything I would hope most people that are pros or have played a lot can take some shit talking without it bothering them.

May I see videos going past this where pros stop playing mid game to tell fans how much they are making? Pros trash talk, but they do not go to a personal level and they do not start talking shit to fans about how much they make.

  • Most don't when at events, but online a fair amount do. Trash talking is fairly common and has been for years. You are acting like just because someone is pro they stop talking shit to people online. That is far from the truth. Really the only reason for them to not trash talk at an event is due to how they are sponsored.

  • There is a difference between online and at a public tournament, because online people don't have to worry about what people think of them. In real life people have morals most of the time to not be assholes. The team has even said they crossed the line man. Please tell me where I said pros don't talk shit online?

  • I acknowledge there is a different between online and events. Really the only main difference as I said before is how most pro teams are sponsored and as a result wouldn't want to act in a negative way towards a certain group of people mainly the audience. As for teams trash talking other teams that happens fairly often as I said before. You can look up Halo 2 or Halo 3 MLG matches and there are times videos in which teams trash talk each other. If anything they mainly just crossed the line when insulting the audience.

  • That is what I was saying.... I know trash talk happens and I said they crossed the line when they started insulting the audience.... Though it is not just sponsors, it is the prime instinct to not be a total ass to people who look up to you in real life.
