I was just interested in getting other people's opinions on this. When Bungie talked about character design within Destiny, they mentioned: -Titans would have an 80:20 armor to cloth ratio -Hunters would have a 50:50 ratio -Warlocks would have a 20:80 ratio (A) Would you like the differences to be cosmetic, where you can wear whatever you pick up and it changes appearance to suit your class? (B) Would you to be able to wear whatever you want, but face a speed penalty for wearing armor that is too heavy for you? (C) Would you prefer that Titans are able to wear all armors (light, medium, and heavy), Hunters can wear light and medium armors, while Warlocks can only wear light armors? (D) Would you prefer that most armor in the game can be worn by any class, but some legendary armors are class-specific items? (E) Would you like to see every class have armor built specifically for it? The determining factors here are freedom and individuality. If all classes can wear all armor without penalty, favorites will appear fairly rapidly and most characters of comparable wealth and level will wear the same outfit. If all armors are class-specific you will find that you will stand out more in a crowd of mixed classes, but you may come across some sweet-looking/powerful armor that you'll never be able to use. So, what do you guys think, and do you have any better ideas to determine what armors can be worn?

 • I think Bungie is on the right track. Each class has aesthetic cues to follow. I'm 100% certain that within those guidelines we will have alot of variety to choose from, as well as ways to personalize them even further. For me at least, there's no reason to over think it. Bungie knows what they are doing and are far from flying blind. Haha ;)
