The White House has issued a formal response to the petition to deport British television host Piers Morgan for his outspoken views on gun control, chiding Second Amendment supporters to keep the First Amendment in mind too.
"The Constitution not only guarantees an individual right to bear arms, but also enshrines the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press -- fundamental principles that are essential to our democracy," wrote Press Secretary Jay Carney. "Americans may disagree on matters of public policy and express those disagreements vigorously, but no one should be punished by the government simply because he or she expressed a view on the Second Amendment -- or any other matter of public concern."
The petition was created December 21 on the White House "We the People" petition site. It quickly passed the 25,000 signature threshold required for an official response from the Obama Administration, ultimately garnering more than 100,000 signatures

Any and all of you asking for the man to be deported are worse than him, you're no better than the damn commie censors in China, or the facists in Nahtzee Germany. If you truely support the first amendment, then you will stand your ground and face down those looking to censor a view you disagree with.
