Suggestions for Nintendo to fix it's situation?

I think the article is very fair and realistic in its assessment of Nintendo's current situation as well as in the suggestions to fix said situation.
I don't hate Nintendo. I owned all of their systems up until the Gamecube. I'd love to see Nintendo rebound, but unless they change some things, even their first party titles won't save the system.

Ever since their start up to the Gamecube they were making systems that were able to compete and sometimes out preform their competition. Now they have the Wii which is less powerful than the PS3 and 360 and even the Wii U is pretty much the same. The only thing they are relying on now are gimmicks for their systems that are less powerful than their competition. And a collection of their old exclusive games. The only thing the Wii /U is to me is a system you would get only to play their 1st party games. If you like 3rd party games like Battlefield then you are out of luck because the systems are not powerful enough to run the current ones on the same level.
