I finished ME1 as a Soldier. I could rush headfirst into a firefight and know that i would win because of my superior firepower. (Overcharge on the assault rifle amirite)
However i felt it was severely lacking in tech and biotics and so the squad i chose were always proficient in tech and biotics.
I started ME2 and decided to try out the Engineer class and i was immediately underwhelmed.
It felt like it didnt fit the story... Commander shephard, lone survivor, paragon of the new council... an Engineer?
Im going to try out Vanguard as well and possibly the rest until i find a suitable class.
I wanted some of your opinions on which class you like and why, because it will take me ages to try out each class.

ME1: Soldier ME2: infiltrator ME3: sentinel I found the soldier to be the most reliable in mass effect 1, powers were difficult to use and the choice of guns was a huge help. With the Kasumi dlc for mass effect 2 any class that could use smgs was a good class to pick, the infiltrator had a good selection of tech powers to assist combat. In mass effect 3, the combat is greatly similar to me2 but with a larger variety of guns in each class, i picked sentinel because of the throw ability and the extra tech armour provides another layer of defence
