Apparently returning 2 games in a period of 3 months counts as suspicious activity and gets you blacklisted. As far as how that goes I don't know what it means. But you guys should be careful if you get a game from there and decide you don't like it and return it. Even though it's part of their policy it can get you in trouble.

i dont buy games if i think i will return them So i dont return or trade in my games anymore
-
Ha! I buy and sell to a local store who gives amazing prices. My family got 5 cents for a new Wii game at GameStop... That's why I game Xbox.

It's true, i was told by one of the employees once that they don't take objects like controllers and mics that are brand new or look really new because they suspect you bought them somewhere else for cheap, then think you can sell it to them to get a return for full price. Same thing with games of course, but they better have some proof if they want to put you on their blacklist instead of just saying "well too bad you're on it now and can never shop here again."

Edited by Braydzz: 7/22/2013 1:28:06 AMLike returning it unopened? Yea cause they know you can go to one gamestop and play the game and return it to a different gamestop and say it didn't work and then get a unopened one and take it to the first gamestop and get the full price paid back to you.. Pretty clever actually.

Edited by Jono: 7/22/2013 12:36:23 AMWhat dumbass returns their game to Gamestop?

I haven't been to a gamestop in years. I get all my games through steam or shipped to em from amazon.com

OP is leaving something out. There's no way this would happen for two returns in a 3 month period. And it's likely only a local ban, eg. district manager.
-
I guess that doesn't happen if it's a location that you frequently go to 'cause I have a friend that "rents" games from them, in the sense that he'll own it for a week (or less) and return it for something else. He's been doing this for awhile now. Personally I wouldn't though, I get too much crap when trying to return stuff.

I wonder if I can make reservations on Battletoads yet...

Try Amazon. I've been with them for years now and they've never let me down. Even when I need to return stuff. :) Amazon Prime is also pretty damn good for saving money. Especially if you order as much stuff as I do.

Psh. Doesn't surprise me. Gamestop is trouble to begin with, in my opinion. I never buy or preorder from them anymore.
-
I guess it's been awhile but I didn't even know you can return games at gamestop

It's good to know that Gamestop is doing something about it. There are other things that customers do that the sales persons just don't really pay attention to.
