Regardless of people's time part of it is also things like [url=http://news.cnet.com/8301-27080_3-20000898-245.html]this[/url]. Sure they pull them quick, and security suite does help but they are not fool proof. Having that extra layer of protection helps when a brand new virus launches and attacks another zero day exploit.

  • I can't deny that, but I will counter with people who want to infect your computer with malware will do whatever they can to accomplish their goal. If that includes infecting Adblock somehow, they will. If it includes spending weeks on finding exploits, they will. It's impossible to stop every attack from hackers and virus programmers, so I choose not to punish websites trying to support their site with advertising.

  • Well that is your choice. Myself and quite a few others decide that we would rather not let that happen and put as many levels of protection on as we see fit.
