You know what would be the best thing ever?
Scars.
If not only you got more wrinkled or your skin got aged by the years of battle, but if you could get scars, that would be amazing.
It would be very complicated to determine when or where in which battles you would get one, but maybe it could be up to us. I don't know, but scars would be like the prove and memoires of many battles and fights, and it would be awesome :D

That would be a good way to tell who's new and who's experienced. Noobs have shiny, clean armour whilst the badasses have worn, scarred armour.

There could be file in your personal records/stats where you can see your scars and a pop-up time-code where you got them from. On the other side: We won't wear helmets and armor for nothing. Even if somebody gets a scar he/she will have a hard time showing them to other people. Of course, you could do the same thing with dents in your armor.
