It's funny how I've gotten used to ads even if I have them displayed. I don't even look at banners or sidebars anymore.

Because good web sites don't attract you to the ads, they build their pages to attract you to the main content.

Not really, because they still get money based on traffic. They get more for click through traffic, but ads on a page generate revenue without clicking. I will double check myself just to be 100% certain on this.

Jesus -blam!-ing christ kid. It's obvious you have no intention of changing the way you do things on the internet, so stop responding. Is it wrong that I don't want to say something without providing evidence to back up my facts? Hell no, not enough people do it as it stands. Admitting the fact that I need to find a source is a way of saying, "I'm not trying to pull info out of my ass, here's some information to support my statement." Stooping to such levels? You're the one who has responded in such idiotic manners that requires such "stooping". The original post isn't even about HOW ads make revenue, it's about WHY blocking them prevents it, so providing evidence to back up my claims is the best way to keep the discussion both serious and relevant. It's become clear that you're just a kid who thinks he's smarter than the world. In a few years, you'll come to realize you aren't, and when that happens, please feel free to have a real discussion.

They get a fraction of a penny for displaying an ad, and more for clicking on it. I'm not going to click on any of the ads I'm blocking, so it's not like they're losing a ton of money.
