I don't see guests working out well, mostly because they have no saved data and this game hugely revolves around finding loot and growing as a character. It just wouldn't be as fun for them.

Also in the case of one of my friends he keeps his gamer tag on my Xbox so when he comes over we do split screen. On halo he can still pull up his character, destiny could do the same. Otherwise, it would be a waste for the 2nd player with no saved data but they would still be able to enjoy playing the game with their friends.

Oh, did Reach work that way? I never played with guests so I just assumed it was like Halo 3.

I believe you had the same armor as the main player unlocked.
