Kukri by far. Most wicked and badass knife in the world. Probably the only bladed weapon still commonly used for military hand to hand fighting, not just carried as a backup weapon/utility tool. Not to mention its probably the only knife in the world that is just as effective for being used as an axe to chop wood, even full trees. Its so effective, that in its country of origin, Nepal, they use it to decapatate Water Buffalo! A mother f***ing buffalo people, its just a knife, not a sword!
Anyone who doesnt know who they are, look up "Gurkah". Prepare to be amazed by some badass dudes!
Funny you started this thread because I have been thinking about if they will put Kukris in Destiny. Seems possible due to how popular Emile was in Reach. Come to think of it, I think Bungie was the first studio to heavily publicize the Kukri.
The knife in the link, I just ordered that at the beginning of the week. Should come in on Saturday, and I cant wait!
Just in time for Bungie Day too!

Edited by HankTheYank27: 7/9/2013 4:36:07 PMNo machete is any match for a true, carbon steel, hand forged, Gurkha issue, 1/2 inch thick, 16 inch long Kukri... Ive got lots of machetes for hiking, camping, etc, and I would take this baby over them any day. You have to look at the science as to why the blade is shaped that way. Remember, machetes are built specificially for bushcraft, Kukris are built for that, but are also expertly crafted and designed to take a mans head clean off. Beat that.

im excited for you. I Have a katana but that's about it.

Katanas are badass dude! Kukris are my favorite knives, but I owe it to the Katana as far as swords go. As soon as I got my Kukri the other day, I invited a good friend over who loves knives and swords, and, low and behold, he brought an actual Katana. Not a fake, a true Katana. Even had a certificate of authenticity in Japanese! That was a fun day, we hacked up a lot of bottles and what not with our blades, let me tell you! >:)
