How many 360's have you gone through?

I got my 360 elite in 2007 and it only failed the day Mass Effect 2 came out (Crashed during gameplay) and due to the error being an E74 error I had it fixed for free and no problems since. So in all I have had the 1st 360 I ever owned.

I've had just one since 2008ish. Edit: 2. My old one still works mostly. It has trouble reading discs these days though.

  • Got my first one on Christmas of '06 and the laser went out around the time halo wars came out. Sent it in got a new one. Upgraded to the MW2 console. Never had any problems. Upgraded to a slim and went through at least 3 of them all because of the laser burning out. Never got red rings ever

  • Mine crashed the Christmas Left 4 Dead 2 released. But like you, I got it fixed for free. So, I've had the same Xbox (probably) since 07.

I originally got a 20gb pro in 2006. In 2009 it red ringed on me but I sent it in and got it repaired for free. I got a second one in 2010, a 250gb slim Halo: Reach special edition one. I still have both and they both still work great, though the old one fails to read disk sometimes.

My first 360 got the E74 error because of this piece of shit. Then i got an Elite, and so far i haven't had any problems.

    • My first Red Ringed after a couple of years of faithful service (2006-2008). I then upgraded to the 360 Elite, which I played the hell out of (mostly matchmaking and otherwise campaigning) as I fully jumped in on Xbox LIVE (had it about 2 months before first Box RR'd). It Red Ringed around the time the Kinect came out (I swear by this: updating it to compatibility with Kinect killed it), but I fixed it myself, taking it apart and applying new parts from some fix I found online. It held off for about a year after that, then Red Ringed again with e74. After a while of tinkering with it, I put it back together with original parts and got it fixed at a local shop. That held on for about 6 months, crapped out again when my siblings put the Kinect in it (AGAIN!), fixed it again there at a discount, lasted a little while, then died within the warranty period of that repair. Consequently, I was two states away from the repair shop all summer. I finally pulled the plug on my longtime companion in the summer of 2012 (4 years). Kept the HD, got a Slim for Christmas (the cheap one without an HD), put the old drive in and it's worked well since (haven't played a ton lately though). 3rd box. Though I did try to save one about 5 times.

          • Got my first elite in October 2007 and got the red ring in 2009 I think. They sent me a replacement since the problem could not be fixed. I though about trading in for a slim, but I have no reason to.

          • I'm on Xbox #3 but none of them crashed or broke. I just simply got a new one. I had the 360 pro until 2010. Then I got the Halo Reach LE Xbox with legendary edition. Then in 2012 I got the Halo 4 LE Xbox (The biggest mistake, I know.) The xbox itself is awesome but Halo 4 doesn't deserve it. FOTUS is cool too.

          • I'm on my second. The first decided it was just going to shut off permanently for no obvious reason.

On my 250GB Elite that I bought in 2008. Still works beautifully, never overheats, although it sounds like a dying elephant if i don't have the volume all the way up. I bought a Halo 4 edition xbox. Big mistake.

            • 2. Had the original 360 a year after launch and it finally died 3 years ago (dog kicked it over whilst i was playing fable 2 and ruined the game and disc drive). Then got the 4gb slim and a hard drive for a it a few months ago

            • Had the same H3 Xbox since 2007. Got RRoD when NXE came out, but I got it fixed for free.

              • My first one lost the ability to connect to televisions minutes into me playing Bioshock Infinite. I had that thing since the Christmas of the year Halo 3 came out, now it's just lying in the box of my new Xbox
