• Looks cool, the levels remind me of other games too. I just want a weather related map and one in space to make me happy.

 • I have to say I'm disappointed this first map pack does not include a remake of Lockout or Midship.

 • Let me say first I am 14, and work at a fast food place, and get minimum wage. Valhalla is no way near as good as blood gulch, but we have to live with that. The game is still good. It still has some of the best maps out there. It is just slightly confusing that they say theya re happier with these maps than H2's. Blood Gulch has got to be the singly most replayable MP map ever released. Yes the current ones are good.... they just lack the oomph that the others did. Bungie, I will pay this $8.00, just like I payed $158.67 for legendary. Bungie, I just want you to recognize how many hours that is for me. I am working for two hours to give loud, screaming, fat, old people food to play these maps. It had better be worth it. I was getting $5.17 an hour before H3 release and the minimum wage increase, so I worked over 35 hours for this game. For a 14 year old in school, making honor roll, I want you to realize how much free time I gave up to play H3 bungie.

 •
Posted by: Foxsnipe You know what, I see a lot of complaints about the price and more complaints about how soon the DLC came out after the game did. Here's an idea, don't buy it and wait until it's free, then you'll have waited a longer period of time. As for those complaining about the price, it shouldn't have shocked you. Things are expensive these days (it's not just the DLC, all prices are going up in the world). As someone else said, keep setting your pocket change aside (of course, that requires you to spend money, instead of relying on other people's credit cards... hint hint), then you'll have enough money to walk into a retail store and buy a points card. Problem solved.
I like your sense of humor but just because it is common to get overcharged for things doesn't make it right.

 •
Posted by: b_man270 To all those who are complaining about the lack of smaller maps, I made one for you: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=14196112 I think the new maps are looking great, however the price is not. I can’t say I was really surprised though. Ever since downloadable content became a possibility, every game is getting less and less put into it, and more and more is being charged as an extra. Look at Ace Combat 6. It has the lowest amount of planes since AC4 and not even two months after its initial release 4 new plane colours and skins were released. Now Bungie is following the trend. I have a feeling that the high price comes from the fact that they have recently divorced Microsoft, but that’s beside the point. If you want to see what downloadable content is supposed be then check out The Elder Scrolls V: Oblivion. That game was HUGE on its own, and the downloadable content was also of a good size (compared to the price) now that’s what downloadable content was intended to be. I hope that is the direction that the DLC starts to head back towards. Until then, our pocket books will continue to suffer.
I completely agree, check out what I posted further up on this page, I would like to hear your opinion on it.

Costs aside, I think it is great that Bungie is working so hard on getting us new content so quickly. [Edited on 11.19.2007 2:45 PM PST]

 • A MUST READ! Let me just say that i am sick and -blam!- tired of game developers selling a $60 game that is truly only part of the game. now don't get it twisted i think halo 3 is an excellent addition to the series but it is suddenly a trend to sell us only a part of the game and then charge us an additional $10 for the rest of it, i mean god damn you guys are -blam!- loaded do you really need to milk us for all we are worth? now i don't think it is a completely bad idea for the introduction of new maps, i mean i was fine when new maps came out in halo 2, but those maps were released well after the game came onto store shelves. Seriously halo 3 hasn't even been out for 2 months yet, in fact bungie was telling us about new maps coming soon when they released it, if they are still working on the mother -blam!- they why are they selling it to us now. This is not only happening with bungie however, another big fan of this is red octane and the other companies at work in GH 3 who are already trying to sell you additional tracks just after the release of the games. I guess i would be happier if these guys could just be honest and charge a huge -blam!- fee upfront instead of trying to slip in hidden fees. I appologize for any punctuation and or grammical errors.

 • Wow, 800 points. Why don't you just package it on a DVD and sell it for 59.99. 400 points is reasonable, but 800. Geez, sometimes I hate bungie. [Edited on 11.19.2007 2:25 PM PST]

 •
Posted by: AI carsaib just so ya kno Call of Duty 4 is no where close to be as good as the glory Halo 3 has achieved. it is FAR away from being even close to Halo 3 good. Halo 3 owns the Xbox world (and PS3 world to) ((BADLEY)) :)
For -blam!-'s sake, don't stir up this hornet's nest.

 • I rather continue playing COD4 and save these points for Rock Band than buy another Isolation, two more -blam!- maps similar to the pit.

 •
Posted by: Xbot
Posted by: Mr Frodo17 Still, if they just want small FFA maps, there are already a lot of those in Halo 3.
No there aren't. Every map in Halo 3 is HUGE.
Hmmmmm... I guess you have a point (though HUGE is a bit of an overstatement). But still, Epitaph, Narrows, Guardian, Isolation, Construct, Snowbound, and High Ground can all be played enjoyably with four people, plus, Rumble Pit and Lone Wolves games are usually 5-6 people, and all of the above maps along with The Pit can be played with that many people and still be enjoyable. I guess if you want maps like Foundation or Midship, you'll have to wait. (Maybe Bungie will give us some of those in the next batch of maps)
