The last part of your post is foolish, as gun control nearly always makes things worse and harms children the most. Hindering responsible citizens doesn't help anyone, as they actually require their firearms lawfully, disturbed people will not. Funny how all the mass shootings happen where firearms are banned.

Lawfully? Tell me how purchasing firearms without background checks at private sales sounds like it has any legal obligations for citizens (or criminals) when purchasing a firearm

Honestly, I'm pro-gun and pro-gun control. I don't have anything to hide from the government and they won't really mess with my rifle since I only use it to hunt game.

Ever heard of the second amendment? I don't have to prove my innocence to exercise a natural right, especially to a corrupt government that has proven to be incompetent and criminal with firearms themselves. Background checks do very little if anything to help, what does help is diligent citizens that are capable of controlling dangerous situations and deter criminals from starting anything in the first place not knowing who is able to defend themselves. Control only hinders those diligent citizens from protecting others. Also... http://www.storyleak.com/woops-obama-ordered-gun-report-guns-save-lives/

Edited by God: 6/28/2013 10:25:50 PMAnd tell me how gun control violates the Second Amendment aside the fact that the government is preventing you from purchasing a MG42? The only people whose Second Amendment will be "violated" are criminals/insane people, and somewhere in that Constitution does it allow such people for their rights to be taken away, so really the gun proposals don't violate anything in the Constitution. P.S: What are you trying to prove with the article? I'm not arguing that we take away guns from people, just from the criminals. Passing stricter gun laws makes it harder (not impossible) for criminals to side step procedures prior to purchasing a firearm.

Shall not be infringed. What authority does the government have to lay down control? Is the real question. The second amendment existing is to prevent government tyranny, you think that same government should even have a say on the matter? Especially after THEY have given firearms to known murderers and those firearms caused the deaths of American citizens? Do you not see how laughably foolish that is? And responsible citizens/people who die as a result. If you want to reduce gun crime and crime in general we need to get rid of gangs and legalize drugs and prostitution. That would be FAR more beneficial than any unjust law.
