Mars destination

So I just remembered a fun fact of Mars; it has the largest mountain on a planet in our solar system (only the second largest mountain on any known world in our solar system). Olympus Mons is almost 3 times as high as Everest (13-16 miles high depending on where you start measuring). It's not only a mountain, but a volcano. The whole thing can't even be seen from the surface of the planet at any distance because of the curvature of the planet and the sheer size of it. In short it is incredible and I'd be disappointed if Bungie didn't include it in some way. Imagine having to scale the thing from the inside (maybe enemies use it as a base of sorts) and at the top you have to fight a boss.

  • I think going inside of it would be cool as a namesake, especially if they're using the interior as a heat source or something. But Bungie would have to take a lot of liberties if they showed the exterior of the top, at least if they want the landscape to look cool. The incline is so slight that it would be a straight, flat view to the horizon. Then again, we've got space magic. So maybe some liberty is a good thing. Ha. In that case, I'd also like to see the Seven Sisters as a Mars destination. I think it would be cool if they turned out to be entrances to massive underground networks.
