Facebook "Online" Friends (Solved)

EDIT - Solution: Achronos: If you don't want bungie.net being able to see the online status of your Facebook friends, go to Facebook's application permission page and revoke Bungie.net's permission to see your friend's presence information (don't remove the entire "app", just the one permission). __________ As I'm always signed into it, I linked my Bungie account to Facebook so that I could quickly login without needing to punch in my Hotmail/PSN details. What's been bugging me though, is the 'online friends' button on the nav-bar shows which of my facebook friends are online. I'm not sure about anyone else - but the vast majority of my facebook friends are not gamers, and I don't really want or need to know how many of them are online. Is there a way - or could there be an option to set the 'Friends Online' button on the nav-bar to not show Facebook friends? Instead, only XBL/PSN friends? (Note: A strange quirk too: I have 'facebook chat' off by default; so Bungie.net must somehow bypass my settings on facebook?)

    • I'd say the quickest fix to your problem would be to just log in using your MS/PSN account. All you have to do is enter your details once and just tick the "remember me" button, that's what I do and it works great.

    • I'm quite lucky in that my Facebook is linked, but it never shows my online friends on BNet.

If your linked to Facebook, then there is no way around not seeing who is online on facebook. Unless you unlink your facebook from your Bungie account. It was designed that way to show who was online depending on what accounts you linked. As of right now, there is no way to toggle on/off your friends for your different accounts that you have linked. Note: I don't have facebook, but I'm probably guessing, chat and your friends list are different enough that Bungie doesn't look whether those settings are on or off. They probably just see who is online on facebook and display that. Because the facebook chat service, holds no meaning here on Bungie. Hope that makes sense, feel free to ask more questions if there is any.
