Remember when Bungie.net was active and there were always people on wanting to discuss anything?
-
Every forum I've ever been on starts off like that. Then usually fades after time. But I have a feeling with Destiny on the Horizon, it will return to this site once again!

Edited by Ad Hoc: 7/3/2013 9:36:33 PMYes, but not 24/7. There have always been times, late at night, where you could post in every thread on the front page without anyone else posting.

Gentlemen and Ladies you stand on fertile ground. It's like looking at a sleeping volcano that is Destiny. We are a year out from the game and new consoles are preparing to ship for the holiday season. Soon these forums will be a chainsaw. Take a good look around at this community and start following them or form private groups with them quickly. These forums are going to be a chainsaw of threads and deluged by both the Sony and Microsoft populations. The good old days of the Halo community are gone. A new ip is beginning for Bungie. You are at ground zero. See it for what it is and take advantage of the quiet now while you can.

I'm pretty sure it's still like that? lol
-
These forums are really active to me. There was a point towards the end of the Flood where it seemed to slow down a lot.
-
I remember where the New Mombassa forum was the place to be. I recognized a great many of users on there everyday. The Flood was like that too. When Halo 3 was announced, it was like a tsunami of new members and this place became very crowded. Even private groups like BWO and O4B were extremely active. I feel like this site has leveled off to what it was like before Halo 3, and the users here are more daily posters than a bunch of one timers again.

Edited by Symmetry: 7/1/2013 4:01:08 PMYes. It appears to me that there really isn't more activity, rather the same people keep making new threads making it seem like the forum is active if you can understand what I'm saying. Yes people reply, but it's the same people. I hope that makes sense.
-
I don't really notice a difference. If anything it's more active.
-
IT's still active 24/7 for me. I don't know what you're talking about. Durr!
-
I used to not be able to hold a conversation with anyone because the forums were updating too quickly. In private groups.
-
They're still very active.
-
Same will happen when Destiny releases but it might not be as big as when Halo 3 released.
-
"Yes" has more votes than "Durr?". Something is terribly wrong.
-
It still is, just not as active as it was before.
-
You mean yesterday?
-
"Discuss" That's looking at The Flood.
-
Everyday is active. I get woken up almost every night because I get a push alert someone responded to my post. Damn it...jit's always when I'm about to fall asleep.
-
There's never a time I log on and the forums aren't active.
-
-
Activity is relative. There was a time when this community was tight-knit and almost everyone knew each other. Then there was a time when there was an explosion of conversation and creation. Things died, blossomed, died again. Just the natural fluctuation in the Cosmic Background Community Radiation

I remember.

Edited by Templar Boe: 6/13/2013 10:43:03 AMThe quality of all privateer internet based gaming forums seems to have dropped over the last four or five years but then we don't really need them anymore with in game clan management and all that. I'll be happy to get involved with any revival you'd like to partake in if you've got the stomach for it.
