SquirrellyOtter’s EA E3 2013 Conference Analysis

EA and Ubisoft both have much easier jobs to do than Microsoft or Sony have to do, because Microsoft and Sony have to seduce you to part with $400-$500 for the consoles, whereas EA and Ubisoft both just sell the games. So of course they’re going to have a better conference than Microsoft, but that’s comparing your meat and vegetables to your desserts. That said, EA was obviously much more enthusiastic about their conference and it showed all throughout their presentation. From the opening drops of the dubstep, to the hilarious introduction of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, to the teasing reveal of the NEW BATTLEFRONT MOTHER-blam!-ERS, to bringing out enthusiastic celebrities to help design and endorse their sports games, to a powerful demonstration of the capabilities of Battlefield 4, EA indeed knocked it out of the park. ”This year will be a great year for gamers.” We heard it at the beginning and the end from EA COO Peter Moore, and it is 100% true. Great job EA!
