Hello, question about Destiny :)
Hi everybody. This is my first post on a forum. I haven't heard about Bungie until recently, when I saw a trailer for Destiny.
I was just wondering, as Destiny is available for a lot of different consoles, will I be able to play with my friend with a different console? I have a PS3, and my friend has an Xbox 360. Will I be able to connect online with him?

5 RepliesCross-Platform play is unlikely, due to the hate-fest between Microsoft and Sony. As for cross-generation play (i.e PS3 + PS4 users playing together), there hasn't been any official word. I don't think it's even possible on Xbox though.

Welcome to the forums....but no there won't be any cross-platform play,look at it this way since you won't be able to play with your friend on xbox,it'll just leave room for you to make new friends on the ps3 version of Destiny :-)

Cross-platform play seems extremely unlikely due to the services of Xbox Live and PSN being vastly different, but Cross Generation play (Xbox 360 & Xbox One) or (PS3 & PS4) seems possible at least but not yet confirmed.

1 ReplyTo be honest, it looks unlikely, my soccer-loving dudette. However, don't get too down in the dumps. A plethora of things including cross-platform play are still up in the air. Also, welcome to the Community! Hopefully you manage to avoid some of the, er, "sillier" members of the community for a while until you get settled in. Happy forum-going! :)
