The forge is not great, the campaign was missing something, theater is a shambles, but on top of all of that I like the multiplayer. It just has A nice feel, more so after the update. And the campaign just hit me at the end. I found it had quite a powerful ending (even if a bit untraditional). I love the fiction of Halo and I found that Halo 4 was a nice addition to that fiction. I also like 343i aim to include more of the outer fiction into the games.

 • Can you explain what you felt was nice about the multiplayer, and can you also specifically tell me what impression the campaign gave you? I would really appreciate it, thanks. :)

 • Be warned, you said to be specific...
I was drawn into Halo towards the end of Halo 3s life. Reach was my first true Halo game. I played that game solidly for about 2 years non stop. It also sparked my goal of trying to get into game dev. which I will achieve one day (Watch out Bungie). But anyway, Halo 4 added some much needed aspects into halo and adapted the one that it had to take from Reach. yes I said HAD to take. Unfortunately once AA were added into the game they had to stay. To remove them would be a direct insult to Bungies' work. I felt that the way that 343 handled the situation was very good. They eveolved the abilities that people liked and tried to break away from the shadow that is Bungie, which fine. the thing that I liked about the MP that I like the most was that 343 manged to speed up the gameplay but still kept the feel of a halo game. The down side however was that they tried to change too much and ended up over doing the MP so much that it warped it into something that Halo was not. What I'm trying to say is that they went too deep into thinking what Halo is, and forgot what Halo was. The campaign on the other hand was something different. I got into the Halo fiction when Reach started and quickly caught up on the previous games. Going from a story view with that in mind, the campaign was all I could ask for. However when it came down to gameplay, and when I looked back on the overall feel of the campaign, it's clear that something is missing. the only way that I can describe it is that it missed the openness and feel of a battle going on around you. There is hardly any awareness on 343s part that Storm force are a real threat in the universe and not just "some branch of group" of the covenant. It also misses the Scarabs falling from the sky (Halo 3), the charge over the bridge in a Tank (Halo 2) and the large open battle in the snowy cayon. It once again over shot the mark and only gave a sniplet of what Halo campaigns are ment to be (fighting and defening an objective with straight paths between them).
And there is what I feel. Sorry it went on for a bit, got carried away :)
