God I hope not. And in all likely hood, the warlock was using a different spell I can't imagine them being limited to one spell and a "special".

I can definitely see that, but my reasoning behind the Warlock special thing was the fact the he was using two hands to cast it. Charging time makes you vulnerable, and using 2 hands lowers or drops your weapon. It might still your movement, but as a trade-off it would be super powerful like a special.
