Want a tissue? Grow the -blam!- up. The industry is evolving. Adapt and overcome, or cry and whine and look like a spoiled child.

 • Or buy a ps4 so you don't have to deal with it.

 • Rumour has it they're also using a similar DRM system, but haven't spoken about it. For now I'm completely on the fence. The Xbox One has Forza and a built-in DVR, along with the fact that my profile carries over from the 360, which are the only things I am looking forward to about it. But the PS4 has the ability to stream to YouTube from the console, and also has Killzone and a number of interesting exclusives. In the end I think it'll be the E3 presentations which sell the consoles for me, but this thread is highlighting a major kick in the balls for families or homes with more than one console in them.

 • -blam!- you, you're one of the reasons console gaming is dying. I take it you don't have family members who game? Why the -blam!- should my brother have to buy a game again just so he can play it while I play with my friends on something else? Why the -blam!- should I have to buy a game my brother already has just to play it while he plays with his friends on something else? I'm trying to point out some of the biggest flaws in the new generation of consoles, and you call me a spoiled child. You're a -blam!-ing moron if you think it's going to get any better. Microsoft have told families of gamers to -blam!- off. If you can't see that and admit it, you have no place in this argument, and can -blam!- off.

 • It might work similar to the 360 like when you download a dlc the license to that dlc is on that Xbox if you where to activate the code on the Xbox 1 with multiple accounts it will allow you to use the game on a different accounts

 • Let's go through the list. Myself, my wife, my two sons, my daughter, my in-laws, my brothers and sisters in law... yeah, we know gaming. Second, all the shit you just spouted isn't set in stone. Gamestop just posted a piece where the Xbox One will definitely play and utilize used games. As for buying more than one copy... I'm sorry that you're poor? Tell him to get a job? If this is a big flaw to you, then yes, you're a spoiled child.

 • It is set in stone seeing as Xbox's own Larry Hyrb posted it on his official blog site... Do you share consoles or do you have your own? Because if you had your own and your own taste in games, you'd understand how this is a massive spit in the face to us. I can afford to buy more than one copy easily. Hell, do you think I'd be buying a new generation console if I couldn't? My point is, why the hell should I have to pay more for a game we already, as a family, own? We shouldn't. End of. We don't pay more for the DVDs we own, we don't pay more for the CDs we own, nor the current, last, and previous generation games... so why should we have to do the same for the new generation? I'll tell you why: it's because Microsoft are being money-grabbing bastards. I've tweeted the official Xbox page asking them if my thread is correct, so until they denounce it assume what Major Nelson states is stone cold truth. This is a big flaw to me, because, as you CLEARLY can't seem to understand, my brother and I game at the same time. At the moment, I live in university halls 150 miles from him, so naturally I am gonig to play at the same time. However, I've borrowed one of his games from him to play up here, because he's finished it and rarely plays any more. With the new Xbox, I'd have to sign into his account every time I wanted to do play it now, or pay full retail price just to use it. So he wouldn't be able to play ANY of his games, just so that I could play ONE of his. Please, please tell me you're just pulling my leg. God forbid you're being serious. My housemates borrow my games quite often. One of the guys borrowed Far Cry 3 from me for a few days to try it out, and enjoyed it. At the same time he played that, I was on Forza 4. But with this new system, I wouldn't be able to, or I'd have to use another account which has Forza 4 on it, and NONE of my save data. And you seem more than OK with this. I work hard at my job, and pay my tuition with it. What money I have left on the side after bills, etc, I spend on myself. How in your right mind have you come to the conclusion that it's OK for me to have to pay for a game I want to borrow for a few days? Have you considered the issues this brings up for companies like Blockbuster, which rent games for a small fee? They'd lose half of their business just because Microsoft are money-grabbing bastards. And you think this is OK? Sure. Whatever mate.

 • So... the fact that Gamestop is pimping this out on their website... doesn't sound like you're overreacting? Why would they pimp something that will supposedly kill their entire business model? I'm pretty positive that there's more to the story than the Red Commie infestation you're making it out to be.

 • True, there is mention of the ability to trade or sell used games, but MS hasn't touched upon this yet in enough detail, so we'll have to hold out. However, I'm not talking about it in that respect. What can't you understand about the point I'm making? It's preventing people like my brother and I from asking if we can borrow a game they have for a few hours. Yet, with this system, I'd have to use his account to play it, or potentially use this "trade in" system, which I imagine means you have to uninstall the game on your console, install it on theirs, then uninstall it when you're done, and trade it back to reinstall on your own. And, you're OK with this?

 •
And, you're OK with this?
Yep. I've got three 360's in my house right now. this holiday season I'll have three XB1's in their place. All is right with the world. And no, they've debunked all of your arguments. You just refuse to see it.

 • Do you have three copies of each game you all want to play as well, or just the one because you're not all always wanting to be on it at the same time? Person 1 owns Forza 5, because they love it and play regularly. Person 2 enjoys Forza 5, but not enough to buy it. They love Gears, and play regularly. Person 3 owns Halo 5, because they love it and play it regularly. Person 1 wants to try out Halo 5, because they don't know if they'd enjoy it enough to justify buying it. They ask Person 3 if they can borrow it. 3 agrees to lend it to them, but has to upload their profile to Person 1's console because of the DRM. This means that Person 3 no longer has his saves on any other game he owns, because his profile is being used by Person 1. And you think this idea works? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. OK, sure. Where exactly have they debunked all of my arguments? On Major Nelson's site? Oh wait, no, they haven't. In fact, statements from Microsoft employees are actually backing up my arguments. So tell me again how it's fine and dandy.
