If I'm reading this right, you want the ability to "mention" people in posts. So if I posted the following in a comment chain or another thread that you didn't create (as of right now, you wouldn't get a notification):
"I think @MasterBarek's idea is pretty cool."
Then you would get a notification?
I like the idea. There's potential for abuse by someone tagging/mentioning you in every post (to spam your notifications) but you could always mute them.
If I recall correctly, we were able to do this with the files system on the previous version of the website. Perhaps we will see this function return one day.
Please note, I'm not an employee nor do I have any insider knowledge.

That bottom line is like your signature.

Okay, I'm thinking of Duardo then.

Edited by MasterBarek: 5/15/2013 5:14:59 AMLol...I know. But first interaction with me, so I understand the need to clarify. I do value your input though. In terms of the idea, yup. You've got it. I think for most mute would be sufficient, but adding this function might be a slight annoyance for someone like @DeeJ b/c people like to mention him a lot and he probably doesn't want to mute people. I'd be interested to hear his thoughts. I know in discussing the tagging system with Achronos he stated:
...the forum's base code is more like the file share of Halo: Reach than it is a forum. It had to be to get both the flexibility and performance we desired.
Honestly, I didn't do much with File Share in Reach, but if "mentioning" members was a part of that system, then yeah, I think it would be great to add this function to the entire forum.
