I dont really see whats wrong? They SHOULD be the highest payed employee. Most of the time, they bring in HUGE amounts of money for the school and state.

The state I live in is the only one of its kind that it has both football/basketball. Ive always though coaches and athletes were over paid but that is neither here nor there.

What bothers me is that said schools are subsidized by the government, resulting in million-dollar paychecks for coaches, partially on taxpayer dollar. If the checks came from private schools, I wouldn't have a problem.

Could you really consider that a "public" employee then? I've always thought that coaches were paid too much. 4 million to coach football? Seems silly to me
