What would be the best way for looting to work in Destiny? (for now we assume that looting will be the same in single player as it is in social groups, with everyone getting a copy of the weapon/rare item)
I don't mind resource gathering since that is a bit different, but when I'm blasting away through a half destroyed building full of bad guys, I don't want to have to cool down every two minutes because I have to stop and grab some potion/gold off of a shelf, leaving it would be stupid, but it's annoying to halt.
What I'd like would be a sort of "auto looter" for chests in which it automatically loads me up with the stuff I want (ammo, syringes, coin, resources) and only asks for confirmation regarding heavy/wielded items, like armor and weapons.
The same should apply to enemies, you walk over the corpse and instantly receive the aforementioned 'light' items, and if you want a piece of armor/weapon you just point and click on the body to pick it up, or you enter a simple side menu to access them.
Looting will need to be fast since you don't want your team to be rushing ahead while you desperately mash the "loot all" button and then get stuck with a full inventory.
thoughts?
A Borderlands 2 system for money, ammo, and other "non-weighted" loot (As in if you walk over it, you pick it up with no button press). And I like the idea of cloning weapons and gear for each person in the group.
