I agree with 'race' choice within the human race. Picking the tone of your skin seems likely (if we even get to see our faces), which it seems we will, but then again there are times I doubt this. Race among the awoken or exo however, I don't see. Awoken are bright glowing people. Exo are robots. Why complicate it with race within race? Maybe you'll be able to change the hue of the awoken, or shade of the exo's metal. We'll see. And gender choices are a given, literally, Bungie has said that the ability to pick gender is there, you can be a female robot wizard. And robot is the only one where it wouldn't make sense to have gender, and there is gender. So the other 2 races will surely have the choice to pick your gender.

  • Alright then. I just don't want like 1,000,000 other players to have the same character as me, since we could have similar armor.

  • That is my worry. That customizability won't be as customizable as we think it will be. That there won't be this huge selection or armour or weapons to distinguish us from other players. I hate when I see players in Halo: Reach or Halo 4 that have the same armour as me.. it makes me feel like I'm not special. I want to feel unique. I don't think gender, or a race within a race will solve that. If we are all wearing armour anyways, we can't tell who's human, who's exo and who's awoken. I want my character to have cool armour that I want to wear, and it not be on every other player. This means, that you need a LARGE amount of customization options, and you can't tie stats to a certain piece of armour. If this piece of armour is the best in the whole game, then you can be sure that it will be used the most. If I like the look of a shitty piece of armour, will I wear it at the expense of having a handicap in battle.. no. But then my character is not my own.. it's just the strongest I can get, because I (and many other players) will put strength over looks and feeling unique. So I beg Bungie to have a wide array of armour to either collect, or choose from, and have that armour customizable, with colour, pattern, etc. And to not have stats tied to armour (you can with guns, I don't care.. but armour, please don't do it).

  • Perhaps a toggle button in lobby or party to see all members without helms or with helms? But that's a minor solution. I agree with your ideas on varying armors though. I don't want to be the same as someone else. Ever. Unless we agree we want to be. Perhaps the "best" armor has unlimited variants. Or something hugely vast. But with the same basic look? Or maybe everything is completely different.
