Should guardians have energy shields or should all armor be strictly physical, what are your thoughts and ideas, what is your ideal situation.

I'm bored so initiate necro bumping!!!
-
Yes you should have shields. One because it is a futuristic game, and most futuristic games involve shields of some sorta. Second with the mass scale this game plans to be. You can't be dieing after half a mag of a enemy or player.

I think that only armor would be good because shields would make it seem like halo with new skins. However , I do believe that the Warlock should have the ability to have some shielding because they seem to be very vulnerable.

No shields just armor i don't want any like regen on my armor i just want armor and if you get shit it will start to break and then you ahve to repair it which would not be hard thats what i want
-
Strictly armour
-
I get the feeling this is going to feel way too much like halo...
-
i pick 2nd choice but it depends will it leave marks but not to many marks in my armor so i can show how many battles iv been in
-
I like the added stuff instead of just yes and no but I wouldn't want to eat bullets cause my armor would get pretty beat up I would rather dodge them and be like the matrix
-
Bungie has already spoken about shields being in the game in one of the mail sacks. The described how the shields absorbed the damage from bullets or something along those lines.
-
Yes, to varying degrees. I like how Boderlands does it where shields can do different things and there are tradeoffs depending on what you decide to use. Plus hp doesn't regen so you have to watch both and not rely entirely on one or the other (can't play like having 2 shields in other words).

Im game for shields being in Destiny and all, but I seriously might have to poll with the second option since thats the more MANLY option :P I love how Shields = Sissy/Panzy and No Shield = Godly Epicness

We've seen a Shield Statistic on one of the Apps in the Vidoc if that helps.
