Houses in Destiny?

Yes, I would love to own a house!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a place in Destiny that you could call home? A place where you could rest and keep all your valuables safe when you are out traveling. When buying a house in Destiny, you would choose from a few different styles of houses and start off with the simplest state of the house and expand from there. You could upgrade your home's security system to help prevent intruders who are trying to break in to try and steal your valuables. You could also expand the size of your house to give you extra space for items and extra/larger rooms. These are a few things that have come to my mind. What are your thoughts on the idea of owning a house in Destiny?

  • Your ship is your house. Why? Because it's kept in a hangar that doesn't really take up permanent world space. In this shared world shooter, how would you buy a house? If millions and millions of players bought a house, where would all these houses go? If I share my world with someone who put their house exactly where my house is, how would that work? This is exactly why we won't have houses, or real estate we can own. The guardians have a huge tower, that is our 'home'. If we go into the hangar, we will see our ship, and maybe the people in our party's ships.
