So...people today are still talking about feminism a lot and a point was brought up...
About against douches who sexually assault...
Lemme start by saying nobody likes these people. Nobody, asides from perhaps these people themselves but...
They see a women they want to have sexual relations with. They come onto the girl, through being up in her face rudely, by slapping her butt, ect. Gross. Now, the alternative which has happened to me multiple times.A chick I just so happen to not be interested in comes up to me, begins to flirt, ect, it's hard for me to get away.
So, she starts repeatingly coming up to me despite my hints to go away, and slaps my butt. (Yes, this happens) I will eventually get away or tell her I'm not interested, which may result in her spitting on me or stepping on my foot. And what can I do about it? Nothing at all.
So..I don't think feminists are against guys. I think they're against shitty people. And welp, we all are. But you don't hear me setting up pride walks cus a crappy girl appeared in my life. Those people will exist, forever. Deal.
Now as for r@ep, this is still horrible and logically one can say it is infinitely more possible for a man to -blam!- a woman. This is just because of how genitalia works. But, the same thing applies here. Laws will not stop certain people, and neither will any amount of events, gatherings or campaigns.

(In regards to asshattery.) The thing is, it does seem like being against shitty people is rarer than you might imagine. If you were a meathead of a douchebag who decided to obnoxiously come onto a woman who felt intimidated, how many people around do you think would actually stand in your way? Actually, you'd be better off asking how many people might actually look up to you for doing it. Hell, I have never, ever had anyone so much as show an interest in helping me when I've been the subject of public abuse and violence. Nope, everyone would just prefer to stand back and see what happens, either because they don't see a problem or they don't want the hassle of being involved. It's easy for you to say "we're all against shitty people", but from what I've experienced, nobody is "against shitty people" enough to actually do anything about it. That's what awareness is for. It's about encouraging people to not just say the right thing, but do the right thing too.
