I've wanted to join the army for a while now, when I finish my education, and I haven't been able to decide wether I want to be a combat engineer, or just a plain soldier. This is also a If I can thing aswell, because I will need a waiver to join the army. on that note, can you get a waiver for Mild aspergers? (as I understand it the final descion is up to your medical examiner, so you can't be turned away at the desk)

I think an Engineer would have more use during peacetime or indirect combat, building bridges/roads and the like. But of course that role is even more vital in conflict for assisting troop movements and region stability. If you think you can be an engineer then it is probably more worthwhile than being in the infantry. (Which of course is still a very important role)
