I feel that when some people worry about drone strikes on U.S. soil, they're imagining drones zipping around everywhere blowing things up like it's Grand Theft Auto. That's just silly (not to mention, it's letting fear cloud your judgement).
The fact is, we already do know when the government is allowed to kill someone in self defense (a drone strike is not "capital punishment"). This hasn't changed because of drones.

You zealously defend Obama. It's crazy shit, yo. This kind of government power is not good. As Rand Paul, the 2007 "Candidate" version of Obama would not have supported this stuff. At all.

I made a thread yesterday criticizing Obama for giving millions of dollars to programs to give state and local police departments more military gear. In fact, I think Bush was right in trying to get away from those programs. I'm saying that "this kind of government power" has always been with us. This isn't marking an increase in power. I'm not defending Obama (or "zealously" saying anything), I'm defending Eric Holder's statement.
