"We're already testing @DestinyTheGame with a small sampling of brave subjects."

https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/306466300203528193 Seems like more people have gotten their hands on the game, but probably every single one was in-studio. Anyone else re-do their Beta information? So far no news on an open Beta :(

Maybe it's been too long for people to remember how Bungie handles beta testing. Link is for background on the Halo 3 beta (curious if anyone here was old enough to get the game without a parent or guardian...anyone? no? ok...). After internal alpha testing, Bungie started the beta testing with "Friends and Family". Few select persons were included in this stage. I remember thinking that, because I worked in a game store at the time, I would get some sort of squatting privilege. Haha, not sure if it was my enthrallment with Halo or my lack of sleep from my classes that made me believe that would make a difference. Regardless, while the "Friends and Family" testing was running its course, announcements for the (more) public beta started to surface. The details can be found in the link from earlier. Bungie will let people know when the beta will be available and how. To increase your chances, I recommend being proactive with your BNet presence and keep an eye on Bungie's social media outlets. Good luck and good hunting. edit: As much as it pains me to write this, I should note that there is no guarantee that public beta testing will happen. They also are the deciding authority if they need our help with their game. If you take anything from this just know that Bungie loves you and wants you to have the best experience when the game is released. I would say 'be happy' but some people are inheriently bitter and thrive on being 'not happy'. Like Tarder Sauce.
