Seems like more people have gotten their hands on the game, but probably every single one was in-studio. Anyone else re-do their Beta information?
So far no news on an open Beta :(

Everytime I open up my e-mail I see a new inbox from bungie and then I suddenly realize it's my brain tricking me again.
The weird thing is, while I was typing this I got an e-mail from Bungie saying my settings have changed. My stomach flipped at first.
I think I've been signed up for beta selection since they first made the announcement, which as I remember was sometime around the release of Halo Reach. Been a forum member since Halo 2, and recieved an invite via my bungie.net account for the Halo 3 beta (after I had already bought crackdown just for the beta code haha). At any rate i'm hoping that they look at such loyalty from community members as a big part of deciding who they select, haven't anticipated a game this much since the excruciating wait for Halo 2.

Cant link my xbox account due to some stupid bug so I cant sign up for beta

Lucky butt lickers!!!!
-
I just love how those testers are keeping quiet due to their respect for Bungie.
-
You'll have to wait if you weren't selected. No big deal.

There are the One of seven, you know.

Edited by Mechatronic Mog: 2/28/2013 12:21:45 AMMaybe it's been too long for people to remember how Bungie handles beta testing. Link is for background on the Halo 3 beta (curious if anyone here was old enough to get the game without a parent or guardian...anyone? no? ok...). After internal alpha testing, Bungie started the beta testing with "Friends and Family". Few select persons were included in this stage. I remember thinking that, because I worked in a game store at the time, I would get some sort of squatting privilege. Haha, not sure if it was my enthrallment with Halo or my lack of sleep from my classes that made me believe that would make a difference. Regardless, while the "Friends and Family" testing was running its course, announcements for the (more) public beta started to surface. The details can be found in the link from earlier. Bungie will let people know when the beta will be available and how. To increase your chances, I recommend being proactive with your BNet presence and keep an eye on Bungie's social media outlets. Good luck and good hunting. edit: As much as it pains me to write this, I should note that there is no guarantee that public beta testing will happen. They also are the deciding authority if they need our help with their game. If you take anything from this just know that Bungie loves you and wants you to have the best experience when the game is released. I would say 'be happy' but some people are inheriently bitter and thrive on being 'not happy'. Like Tarder Sauce.

I would pay the full 60 euro's for the beta. Just looking at a single piece of concept art makes me look up everything Destiny related article at all the big gaming sites. Seriously i happened to see a piece of Destiny concept art about an hour ago, searched IGN, gamesradar, polygon, the verge, joystiq, giantbomb and escapistmagazine and now i'm here looking for anything new. Long story short: I can't wait to hear about the first person getting a beta key for either Xbox360 or Ps3, hell i'll even take PC (even though that's probably not happening seeing as is won't release for PC). (sorry for bad spelling spent enough time on destiny for today, see you guys tomorrow. ;)

Can you imagine how hard it is for these guys to keep their mouths shut?

Edited by ToastyWaffles: 2/27/2013 4:42:45 PMI re-did my beta information last week, but I had no confirmation that it actually accepted my answers (though it probably did). The beta user-research be more significant now that they've put it into the drop-down menu of our profiles.

How do I know this isn't a ploy by you to keep people from thinking you're a tester?
-
I shit you not, I actually had a dream about this last night. It's...destiny! :O
-
I filled out the beta form. Fingers crossed.
-
I don't think they would have a beta out this early. If they do have a beta, it will probably be around June or July.
-
I think they're referring to their testers.
-
It is probably in internal beta or even further, but the beta we all know and love is most likely not what the aforementioned tweet is referring to.
-
i re-entered the beta info last fall and again a few weeks ago. i got nothing
-
Well I kind of assumed some people are bravely testing it, also bungie there are some brave people over here in ireland *hint*me*hint* :p
-
The drums of war are starting, Bungie's army is starting to grow weary.
-
I have checked my beta test e-mail daily for over a year. It is the only thing I have that e-mail for.
-
Dreamed about destiny last night: It was a bit of random gameplay and it was guardians vs spartans. Bungie were guardians and their guns ripped through the Spartans. Then they gave me a tshirt as i was the last to leave the studio. :D. Except when i woke up it was gone.....

Let us thank all those brave souls who suffer now in secret to make Destiny a better game. I ain't jelly.
Anyone else re-do their Beta information?
I actually tried this on the day the site changed, but for soem reason it won't let me fill in the email field.

I will not be asked to the beta. I am too new to the Bungies and I think I flubbed the test. sadface.jpg
